This PayPal like Dispute management system provides a handy place to post customer service messages to all your buyers like “shipping delayed due to bad weather etc.” Also if the buyer wants to file a complaint against the seller and his products, he can open a dispute against the product and the function operates similar to PayPal dispute management process.
This Dispute management system perfectly works with our Multi-vendor marketplace software. You can go ahead and purchase the addon here. Even if you have other multi-vendor marketplace script, we can integrate this module inside your platform.
Shopsy script already has a discussion board feature – where buyer and seller can start a discussion on a product regarding damage, delivery time, reviews or questions to the seller on the purchased product. The discussion board button can be found next to their product purchases. They can see a button “View Discussion”.
Now, we have added a PayPal like dispute / claim management system. Read the below scenario to understand better.
Scenario – Buyer (White) Seller (Jesse) and Admin (site owner).
White (buyer) purchases a product from Jesse (seller) and Jesse ships the product to White. White receives the product and found that the product was of low quality and misleading content in the product page. Basically he needs a refund now. So White opens a dispute on the product that he purchased from Jesse (seller).
Once the buyer has opened up a dispute > admin receives a notification under Admin panel > dispute management > dispute list > he can see that buyer (white) has opened up a dispute.
Admin has the option to view the discussion comments between buyer and seller – where both buyer and seller can input their comments. They can upload image attachments too.
Admin can finally decide the case judgement in favor of Buyer or Seller. (Similar to how PayPal dispute / claim management works)
Once the dispute for a product is opened up – The site earnings will show the Dispute amount for the seller. So till the dispute is closed, the admin can make sure he doesn’t send out the money to the seller for the product. (below image shows the dispute amount under site earnings column)
Admin can go to admin dashboard > dispute management > dispute list > click the OPENED to CLOSED. By this way – He can close the dispute after deciding the case in favor of either Buyer or Seller.
